Media available to order
The following selected media are available to order. The price is 50GBP/120GBP (Academic or non-profit/Commercial) per unit – one unit of a medium comprises non-sterile stocks sufficient to make 5 litres of final medium, or 1 litre of sterile premade medium. We are trialling the supply of some media containing Soil Extract (from June 2024), these will be available as premade only, and stocks are likely to be fairly limited.

Media can usually be despatched within 1-2 weeks of ordering.
Other media may be available depending on stock levels – email us at ccap@sams.ac.uk. Please also contact us if you are looking for an unusual medium, individual components e.g. vitamin stock, a modified medium or large volumes – we are happy to help where we can.
Freshwater Algal Media – available as concentrated stocks for 5 litres of medium or 1 litre of sterile premade medium
Marine Algal Media – available as concentrated stocks for 5 litres of medium or 1 litre of sterile premade medium.
Concentrated stocks need to be added to either filtered natural seawater or artificial seawater, this is not supplied with the stocks.
